Fellow U.S. athletes Quentin Judge, Alison Robitaille and Adrienne Sternlicht will join Lutz and Robin de Ponthual during the FEI Nations Cup event. Lutz first donned the pinque coat during the 2016 FEI Show Jumping World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he and Robin de Ponthual finished in the top 20 in the world. After a successful winter season, the pair is prepared to represent the United States once again on the world stage.

"Robin had a great season in Florida and he was very consistent," explained Lutz. "He showed on the sand and on grass. I feel like he's ready and he's in great shape physically. We've continued to get to know each other and we feel ready."

Owner and trainer M. Michael Meller will travel with Lutz to Mexico and is excited to watch the pair compete. "Robin has shown how much talent he has since day one," noted Meller. "It's been wonderful to watch Peter and him develop together and see the partnership they have formed. I feel very confident going into this event, and it's always an honor to be chosen to represent your country."

Following the Coapexpan Nations Cup, Lutz and Meller will travel to the Old Salem Spring Horse Shows to compete with Retiro, Cheri de Papignies and Sam 1091 before joining Robin de Ponthual at Spruce Meadows in June.
